Begin with the place, not the checklist.

Teza’s luminous tea fields, cool air and curling highland roads create one of Burundi’s most photogenic working landscapes beside Kibira.

The plantations are beautiful, but they are also workplaces shaped by agricultural labour. A responsible visit connects the visual pattern of tea with the people, process and economy behind it.

Strong travel photography begins with understanding, not equipment. Light and composition matter, but consent, patience and accurate captions determine whether an image is responsible.

The road climbs from Bujumbura into the highlands. Arrange access to fields or facilities rather than assuming the entire plantation is open to visitors, and combine the journey with Kibira when timing works.
